London Based Multi Media Artist Heidi Hedhli is best known

for her command of colour, drenching her canvas with layer

upon layer of pigment while adding spontaneous surrealist

joy through collage.

 

​​​​​​​​With an emphasis on shape, colour and texture her works have

been described as cubist/surrealist in style. Although the

beginning of her career was dominated by works of acrylic and

collage on canvas she has now begun to work with found

objects such a manikins and pre-fabricated sculptures exploring

the idea of “one woman's waste is another woman's treasure.”

Heidi is best known for her unique approach to creating her pieces of art, she believes that the art is already created you just have to build the layers until you find it. She does not sketch or plan her work and is unaware of the finished piece until the moment she puts down her brush. Her interest in the way people view art remains right until the end with her having others name her work with what they see as the viewer.
